MLA Citations

Don't freak out about the bibliography.

For the research paper, we will be using MLA format for all citations. Make sure to cite all the sources you use within your paper. You don't need to cite common knowledge facts (e.g. Korea is in Asia, or Sputnik was launched during the Cold War), but any facts, ideas, interpretations, quotes or statistics that aren't your own need to be cited.

The blue research paper you all received in an excellent resource for how to write your paper in proper format. Check out these other helpful links about how to cite sources properly:

  2. Natasha-- You may want to try searching not just for Sputnik, but also for Space Race. Of course the books in the library and databases (such as trial.ebscohost.com) are a great resource. Government websites such as the national archives (www.archives.gov) are also very helpful and reliable. I hope this helps.

  5. Natasha: show me what you mean at school. What program are you using to type it? I'm not sure why yours is different, but we can find a way to fix it.
